Meet Mônica

Monica reached out to us while on holiday, wanting to return to an organized home, free from clutter. She is a mother, wife, and entrepreneur who wanted our help to create calm in chaos. With our team’s help, she was able to declutter her space and achieve the peaceful home she was seeking.

Give us a quick introduction

I’m Mônica, Brazilian born and raised, but I’ve been living mostly in Asia since 1999. I am the founder of FELIZ Consulting, a boutique training & coaching company based in Hong Kong. With over 20 years of experience in learning and development, I am passionate about fostering growth and happiness in both individuals and organizations. On a personal note, I have two adult children, aged 20 and 18, an awesome husband, and a lovable dog!

⁠Why did you decide to hire us?

I sought the help of The Happy Space Co. to create not only a more organized and efficient workspace, but also a harmonious home environment. After living in the same apartment for 10 years, we inevitably accumulated many needless items, leading to significant clutter that began to affect my overall well-being. My husband tends to hold onto things, and we realized we needed to take action. I often felt like it was a case of “messy home, messy mind.” As a busy entrepreneur and mom, I recognized that a clutter-free and more organized space would enhance my productivity and well-being, allowing my family and me to better focus on our priorities, such as quality family time, client needs, and new projects.

What was the most surprising part of the process?

The most surprising part—though perhaps not as surprising!—of the process was how emotionally cleansing it was. As Nassim and my family worked through my space, I found myself letting go of not just physical clutter but also the emotional baggage associated with certain items. This release brought about a profound sense of relief and calmness, allowing me to feel lighter and more focused than ever before. The transformation was not just about organizing; it was a rejuvenating experience for my mind and spirit. I really mean it!

How has the organization benefited you in your daily life?

The organization has significantly impacted my daily routine. I now feel more at ease in my home, including the kitchen, my bedroom, my son’s room, and workspace, which boosts both my creativity and efficiency. Knowing where everything is allows me to focus on other important priorities!

Did you have any hesitations about the service?

Initially, I was uncertain about inviting a stranger into my home. I was also nervous that my husband wouldn’t be fully onboard. However, Nassim’s professionalism, kindness, and sensitivity quickly put us at ease. She quickly got me, listened to my wishes, as well as helped manage the different dynamics between my husband’s and my own preferences, making the process enjoyable and collaborative for all of us.

As a busy entrepreneur, mom, and wife, I truly appreciate the importance of balance and well-being in our lives.
